As you know I am always on the
move for quality info on
Alternative Energy Sources. This morning, I
come across a really
good article that discusses Eco Energy Sources from a new
light. Today’s piece of content is titled Has anyone seen Earthoid the Energy Saving Search? .

I had never heard of www.earthoid.com but went to site and searched. It is all black… Does anyone know if these “energy saving” search engines really save energy because of a black background?

. Ya, I went to that site too. It’s spooky.
Anyway, here’s some info: “…White and bright colors (especially in backgrounds) can use up to 20% more power than black or dark colors. White uses 74 watts, Black uses 59 watts”.
Co’mom now! That’s like turning off a 15 watt lightbulb! Big deal. .
