Question by : Can i power a light bulb with a fan, using steam power?
I have a class project to make a steam powered “anything” what I want to do is hook up a fan to a mini DC electric motor with lead wires, then have the wires connected to a light bulb, so that when the steam pressure moves the fan the light bulb will glow, just a little bit. Is this even possible?

If you can get enough steam to freely turn the fan, maybe.

The light bulb will load the dynamo though, so will take more steam pressure.

If you can make an enclosed turbine, or an actual steam engine, it will be more efficient.
