“solar energy,”
Waste of money, even the developed countries shouldn’t be doing it, let alone a developing country.
“enhanced energy efficiency,”
Helpful for the economy provided they don’t become obsessed with it but not a reliable solution to climate change (Jevons paradox might show up).
“sustainable agriculture,”
India has tended to do pretty well when it comes to feeding their population, increased use of GM foods (especially ones that need less fertiliser) and a switch to no-till farming will help there somewhat (which would also help them farm under the changed conditions likely to come from global warming).
If they want to help solve the problem they need to build more nuclear reactors as that is the cheapest low emissions technology out there, developing countries can’t afford expensive crap like solar and wind while increasing their standard of living up to developed world standards (which they need to do, otherwise their citizens won’t care about the environment since they’ll be more concerned with staying alive from day to day, remember always that environmentalism is a luxury).
